Derek Overstreet, Senior Pastor

After spending ten years in the Real Estate/Mortgage profession in the Phoenix area, Derek and his family left it all behind to study at the Sovereign Grace Churches' Pastors College in Gaithersburg, Maryland. After graduating from the Pastors College in 2004 and a short internship in our Phoenix church, Derek relocated to Tucson in 2005 to serve Sovereign Grace Church. Derek now serves as the senior pastor here and has the privilege of carrying the primary responsibilities of preaching, leadership, and overall vision for the church.  Derek and his wife Donna live in Northwest Tucson and have three adult children, two of them married, and a growing number of grandchildren.

tom Wilkins, associate pastor

Tom has served in pastoral ministry since 2000, and currently serves as a full-time pastor for Sovereign Grace Church of Tucson, providing relief preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and counseling, overseeing various Sunday morning Teams, and facilities. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Lisa, and simply cannot believe it. They have three married children and six grandchildren and counting. He is a fan of the Dallas Cowboys Football team. Lisa is not. But they are both avid Duke University Men's Basketball fans.

Tim Lambros, Associate Bivocational Pastor

Leading a team of 50 people, Tim started Sovereign Grace Church in April, 2000. Prior to that he had a successful 17-year career in the insurance industry and was active in Arizona politics. But God showed Tim that, while good laws and insurance policies have their place, he was called to offer people a higher and better hope for safety and security—the person and work of Jesus Christ.  After serving as head pastor at Sovereign Grace for 10 years and associate pastor for 2 years, God called Tim back into the insurance industry and he is now currently serving as a bi-vocational pastor at Sovereign Grace.  Tim and his wife, Kathy, have been married for 30 years. They have three married daughters, a married son, and an increasing number of grandchildren.
